World War 1

This movie is about how World War One, In World War One a lot of men signed up to join in the War. They thought it was a sign up for a travel to see the amazing world and to see what’s out there. But it was actually a to fight in war.

So basically our movie is talking a 2 men (brothers) joined war and started fighting against the German as soon they back from the 2 men transform into 1 men so what I am trying to say is that the other man died in the war and the other survive.

Information Report

1. Introduction

My animal is about Green Turtle the reason why because my family works to look after it and give them medicine and take care of their baby. Green Turtles are the national animals for my family, in the pacific ocean there are like tons of Turtles out there to swim in the deep sea and they are really precious and Beautiful why they have a shell so it can protect them from predator and the have fin to help them swim faster.

2. Body of the report

Green Turtles has over skeleton. Skeleton, skeleton holds the hard shell and it protect itself from predictor. Green Turtles has two fin in the front and two fin at the back it helps them to swim fast and helps them to dig holes to put their eggs in it and cover it with sand. Green Turtles has a small head and has a really good pattern on their shell.

In Samoa there  lot of rules about Turtles. The shells of the Turtles is really hard sometimes Turtles can get kamal flush to a rock. When turtles are not in the sea they are really really slow to walk but swimming is faster for them to swim or walk.

There are two types of Green Turtles there are, Atlantic Turtles and Eastern Pacific green turtle. 80 countries around the world their are a lot of Green Turtles on their beach. Guess what, did you know that Turtle can live for 100 years and they can over 150 year old my grandpa had a little Turtle when he was born and his Turtle in 71 year old.

5. A concluding paragraph

Did you know that there all kinds of Turtles like Totus, Hawksbill, Loggerhead, Olive Ridley, common snappers and especially my favourite Turtle is Galapagos giant tortoise. All kinds of Turtles can live for 100 year and some of them survive for 200 years.

The Pt England Way

`The Pt England Way is the way we act on an everyday basis in our school. It helps the students at Pt England school learn what to do independently. The students at Pt England  don’t just walk past the teacher they  say “Hi Miss or Mr” and the teacher will reply “hello dear or sweetie”. When new kid comes to Pt England old students show them the Pt England way by respecting each other and being kind and co-operating.

Our topic for last year was better together kia pai te kotahi and this year’s topic is Tiaki taonga , Tiaki Taonga means the act of caring in Maori and caring mean bountiful, loving. Co-operate is one of the korero Co-operate mean to be friends and respect to other and getting stable so pupils can work as a team.

Some people from different kind countries come to see what and how do we learn and respect other and even ask the student some question. Well see about Pt England is a great for learning and doing the right thing. When the bell ring we go outside to play some people play the right way for example this is one of Mr Burt korero “Play the Right Way” and this one to “It a Tap not a Kick” because if you kick somewhere near to the classroom the might crash into the window that why we do a tap.

Moas

On Tuesday we were doing matching, we matched up the title with a pitcher.

And is how you do it.
We been given some pictures and figure out what it was and what it meant. And putted it together and Mr Somerville cheeks it out and our group was Moas got to wrong but got some of it right our  group was working together as a team.

Snow flake day

Miss King's friend, paula, sent us this movie from Christchurch to show us what a snow day looks like.

Catching a snowflake on your tongue feels cold like ice cream.A magical winter  of pristine whiteness.sprinkling over the ground,snowflake transforming the landscape.snow is so cold.

Skidding and sliding on the ice,a severe storm closed the roads.The police have said for people to take care.School are closed due to ice and freezing temperatures.

Swimming

YES!!!!! I can’t wait to go swimming!!!!!!!.

Me and my classmate went to the pools we listened to the instructor how to get down into the water the instructor told us what to do.

Our instructor told us to  put our chin on our chest,  take deep breaths and swim. It was so hard to kick with my leg but it is easy swimming like a penguin and a mermaid.

When I kick the water started to turn into bubbles. By using straight knees, I could kick faster. I used the island to push myself off, so I can kick faster too.

My Tissue Flower

Friday we made some art,  it was a flower made out of tissues

Carefully we used tissues to make the center of the flower.  

Covering the tables with newspaper, we wanted to keep our furniture clean..

Folding some tissues we made the petals.

melted crayons

Art alive is our Topic for this Term, So that could be art and drawing and also Colouring.

So yesterday we made some melted crayons. Step by step we use some glue and some crayons and three hairdryers.

Hannah was painting the word learn on the canvas ,Thea was taking pitcher and doing movie then Asena was doing the glue gun to the crayons and I was melting the crayon.


As the crayon melted they looked icecream dribbling down the canvas.

Ben Carson

Yesterday we went on a bus to go to  the Tellstra Clear Pacific Events Centre to see Ben Carson and listen to his story.

When he was young Ben said that he wanted to be a doctor. He used to be dumd when he was at school until he got a book with him and started to read. His mother was proud of him and he became very brainy. Now Ben Carson is a doctor.

Candy Dragon

The sugar was melting and burning as this man who was a great artist drew a dragon on the non stick paper.The sugar was very gooey. It was amazing. When he finished  he gave it to a little boy.`

The Crazy Hippo

As the tourists rode on a boat in the middle of an african  lake, the hippo chased after them.
Gathering sped, the tourists boat sped away from the advancing hippo. Dangerously the massive beasts swam towards the boat.  

Baseball

Today we played baseball and the grass felt wet under our feet .The man that taught us was a coach and he was very nice. We lined up on the grass and we played with the ball.

My Tree

We made these trees to demonstrate what it means to be  a good learner.
I chose the word co-operates because I like to do co-operates games.

Beach

The beach was glorious and hot. Sometimes I go and play with the sand, breaking it into glittery pieces. Where does this magic come from? Lying down under a shady tree, I cooled down.

My Holiday

I the Holiday  i went to the airport because me and my family is going to Australia to go sharneice and her family .now we are going to the airplane and then had some breakfast at the airplane and there was blanket,headphone and a touch screen TV It was cold hard out i unwrap
a piece of paper and get out the blanket and wrap me up and that made me warm.

Cricket

Running around the cones, we quickly picked up the tennis ball.

luckily we beat group 2

After we won we had to play against another team.

Duffy

My favourite part in the show is that scruffy was chasing Marvel but Scruffy was very naughty
because all he want to do is play with Duffy to play outside playing rugby.The actor was so silly
and glorious but Duffy was a good reader.The Duffy actor sing like a super
star and Marvel was acting like a England person and she was AMAZING

Chasing Marvel all over the stage, Scruffy finally caught her! We were watching the Duffy show.
Scruffy was my favorite actor because he always keep turning into Emmy,Rocky and Wiremu
